How to get a free Lynda.com account (Australia)

Lynda.com is a great way to learn new skills, but with a membership fee of over $25 most people do not sign up.

In this tutorial I will show you how to get a free account with your local, state, or city library within Australia (VIC, QLD, WA, SA)

To get your free account, you will need to join a library closest to you and activate your membership to use their online services. Below are links to the Lynda.com portals for the following library’s ordered by state.

Once you have a valid library account, you should just be able to use the same login/password combination to access Linda.

VICTORIA:

Melbourne City Library

Yarra City Library

Eastern Regional Library

QUEENSLAND:

Queensland State Library

Logan City Library

Cairns City Library

WESTERN AUSTRALIA:

South Perth Library

SOUTH AUSTRALIA:

South Australia State Library

Salisbury City Library

Unfortunately I was unable to find any sources to free access to Lynda.com in the following states:

NSW, NT, ACT, TAS

However if you are a university student, you might still be able to access Lynda.com, you will need to check with your university or TAFE for more information.

If you have a friend or family in one of the states with free access, you could ask to use their login to access Lynda.

Thanks for reading.
