How to get a free account (Australia) is a great way to learn new skills, but with a membership fee of over $25 most people do not sign up.

In this tutorial I will show you how to get a free account with your local, state, or city library within Australia (VIC, QLD, WA, SA)

To get your free account, you will need to join a library closest to you and activate your membership to use their online services. Below are links to the portals for the following library’s ordered by state.

Once you have a valid library account, you should just be able to use the same login/password combination to access Linda.

Melbourne City Library

Yarra City Library

Eastern Regional Library

Queensland State Library

Logan City Library

Cairns City Library

South Perth Library

South Australia State Library

Salisbury City Library

Unfortunately I was unable to find any sources to free access to in the following states:

However if you are a university student, you might still be able to access, you will need to check with your university or TAFE for more information.

If you have a friend or family in one of the states with free access, you could ask to use their login to access Lynda.

Thanks for reading.
